Im seriously thinking about selling my 2003 Jetta TDI. It is a GLS trim level with many options including alloy wheels, heated leather seats, power windows, power locks, automatic transmission, premium sound system and a moon-roof. The car is in near perfect condition with 178,XXX miles. Being that it's a TDI, I don't need to tell you that it's barely broken in. I own and maintain this car and I'm a professional automotive technician who is nothing but anal about my cars. I can't STAND when something doesn't work or is about to go out of service haha.
The maintenance record is immaculate!
The engine oil was always changed with VW 505 approved engine oil with filter
The transmission was recently flushed with VW approved full-synthetic transmission fluid and filter and pan gasket was replaced.
The fuel filter was changed about 5,000 miles ago.
The engine air filter was changed about 5,000 miles ago (still very clean)
The cabin air filter was changed about 5,000 miles ago (still very clean)
The snow screen was cleaned about 5,000 miles ago
The engine and transmission have absolutely NO modifications to it WHATSOEVER!
The front brake pads were recently changed, all brake rotors and pads are OK
The tires were recently replaced and have PLENTY of life left on them
The intercooler was recently flushed and cleaned (thanks to the know how of TDIclub.com!)
The timing belt was changed at 145,000 miles
The add ons:
Black slatted grille
Fog lights in lower bumper vents (very clean, professional install)
Euro light switch (controls all lights, even fog lights)
Rubber, all season floor mats from the dealer
The bad (if u could call it that):
The check engine light is on for cylinder 2 glow plug... The car still starts absolutely fine even in 10 degree winter mornings. It's more of a minor annoyance than anything.
There is a dent on the drivers door about the size of a dime.
The interior light does not come on when you open the passengers front door.
I'll also throw in:
A set of GTI factory springs, and GTI factory struts and shocks with only about 1,000 miles on them. I was originally going to install these on the Jetta, but ran out of time.
Factory injector nozzles from a manual transmission car
McNally electronics boost/egt gauge kit- includes all sensors and wiring
This car still drives like a dream! The interior is VERY clean and looks like it has about 30,000 miles on it. The suspension, steering and brakes make no noise when driving. This car has given me a best tank of 46 mpg with the tires filled up to 42psi and power service in the tank. There is almost no rust on the undercarriage of the car. All HVAC controls work properly, and the seat heaters and window defrosters also work great. The AC blows cold! This car has a clean title and carfax, and just wants someone to love it.
Im lookin for $8,900
Let me know what you think.
