Wish I coulda stayed thru the weekend......... Was looking like the weather was gonna turn to crap so I bailed...... hopefully it wasn't too bad for those that stayed.

Had a blast for the 3 days I got to 'wheel - got to eat at my favorite place (Zak's), got to 'wheel my favorite trail (Steel Bender) and got to play in Area BFE like I'd hoped to (Green Day trail is the shit!)

The winds in Moab yesterday and the day before were intense. The drive home along I-70 was crazy....... The wind was so strong it broke both of my fiberglass CB antennas off of the truck! Lots of Semi's parked instead of driving.

Got home around 4:30 pm, was asleep by 7 pm...... and now wide awake with a raging head cold......

Can't wait to see the collection of pics and vids from the event. Be sure to keep an eye out for JohnJohn's posts - he has a hilarious video of a couple SoCal guys humpin' an XJ......... :D

I'm jealous, it would've been a blast to go, even for 3 days! How'd the Truggy do? It sounds like you got through without any major breakages or incidents.

Or is that the real reason he came home early? Maybe the weather was just a convienant excuse. :D

Glad you had a good time, sucks about your CB antennae.

I bailed early too, about 9:30. The wind was nuts with my cabover camper and trailer. I was all over the road. Weather said it was a 45mph cross wind in Utah.

As usual, the Truggy performed perfectly. I had some minor issues with heims and the Yukon universals in the front axle shafts might be a little dry and creaking now but no breakage. I did have one of my rear driveshafts crap out (both the rear universal AND the double cardan) while on the highway back to town but that was it - had a spare shaft so it wasn't that big a deal - just had to swap it out on the highway while the wind was blowing dirt in my eyes....... :D
