All I know is that they, as well as other rich a$$holes need to get the concept out of their heads that only $50k-100k rock buggies, can do real fourwheeling. If they were smart they would set it up with gears, larger tires, lift kit, 4:1 T-case kit, a nice roll cage, bumpers, rocker protection, and take that thing somewhere like The Hammers, Moab, The Rubicon, Farmington NM, that will intrigue the people who watch the show. Most of us are people who bought our rigs for almost nothing, and spent what little money we had into making our $300 POS into a capable wheeling rig.

Also Desert racing is for the 2WD guys, there is no reason to waste 4wd parts on something a 2wd can do. People shouldn't associate Desert racing to a 4wd event. And if they do decide to use a 4wd , they should leave the Desert racing to the Toyota guys, they don't want to get those incapable pretty trucks dented anyway.
there are several JeepSpeed races that basically require 4wd because of sand-washes. many of the JeepSpeed teams use a transfer case and swap between a drive axle and a beam axle for the front depending on the race.

Yup, XJs are pretty easy to convert to 4wd and vice verse so many teams run both a 2wd and 4wd set up depending on the race.

They finally had the follow up show on today. They put a 9" in the rear with 4.56 gears and a spool, re-inforced the D30 and put 4.56s in it, put prerunner style front fenders on it, SYE, suspension seat, and probably a few things I'm forgetting.

You got to be kidding 1.99 to watch a show that I can record for free on my tv..wow

Just watch it next weekend. They re-run the shit out of their episodes. I bet it'll be on again at some point next sat or sunday morning.

Not to drag up and old topic, but I've caught afew of the EP's and have one or two of them on my media center. Did anyone ever get all 6 or however many parts there was to this in one place?
