I've been quiet in getting ready for our trip out west, but when Tim called me to talk about Harlan and he asked "where are you" and I responded "looking at the Rockies" I knew I needed to at least post up the pics so far so all can enjoy

We left Ga on Sat @ 7pm EST headed to our 1st stop Fort Smith, AR got there @ 6am CST shutdown for the morning, 4pm CST headed out to our 2nd stopping point Amarillo,TX got there about 1am CST and shutdown for the night, rolled out of there @ 11am and head for our 1st camp site near Eagle Nest, NM.
Camped out here for 2 days, great shake down spot for the RTT on the RAM. Figured out what works, what doesn't and what we forgot  (pillows & salt/pepper) side note a hiking boot (not an overly smelly one mind you) and a blanket makes an ok pillow :laugh3: Here we just enjoyed everything and decompressed from life. Days where sunny to overcast highs in the 75-80 range and lows at night in the 50s. There was the sound of the creek all day and night very few if any biting bugs. Just no campfires allowed at this time due to lack of rain in the area and we now know which campsites to call ahead for!!
Broke camp @ 8:30 MT and headed north to Pueblo, CO stopped there to grab a bite before heading on to Colorado Springs,CO to find a room and a shower. It would seem that the Pikes Pike motorcycle run is going on so no room at the inn there, found a spot in Castle Rock, CO for a few days to use as a base camp as we hit stuff in Colorado Springs like Pikes Pike, Garden of the Gods, Cave of the Winds and figure out what else we would like to come back and see/do
Right now looks like we are going to head to Newcastle, WY via US85 and hang a left onto US16. The RAM has been enjoying the high country and getting 16.5 - 16.7 MPG with cruise control locked @ 65 gives us a range of about 500+/- miles on a tank. We had one bad tank of fuel around TX that took us down to 14.9/15.2 MPG thankfully that's all it did.
