Engine Got a Soaker

Now it starts and runs good, but after a min or 2 it sputters and wants to stall, but never does? I washed the motor and detailed it, came out nice but I think I soaked it too much?

Engine light was on after it was wet, but since I tried it for the last 2 days the engine light is off but still runs too low in the RPM dept. The Jeep has been sitting for 8 months now with the same gas? can this be a problem as well?

Pull the engine codes and see why the light was on. I'll bet you got water in the TPS.

I bet it is 8 month old gas. I have never had a problem on 4 different cars, 2 of them jeeps, washing the engine regularly.

Try running the RPM up to 4k or so, then turn the ignition switch off. You may want to consider draining the gas and trying some new as well.
