Editing thread title

Hi,

I was wondering; is it possible to edit a thread's title? I didn't see a way to do that, but it would be very useful in the Bargains & Deals forums. I.e., one could edit the title to reflect "sold" or "found" in the WTS/WTB sections. That would make it a lot easier for people searching through pages of ads to find something.

There are several reasons why editing of messages is restricted.

As a general rule, this feature has been abused to the point it was completely removed. However, when we changed from WebBBS to vBulletin, editing was initially allowed for only 15 minutes. That has changed over the course of time to the current 45 minutes.

To that end, you have plenty of time to edit your post or reply for spelling or other mistakes. But retroactively changing your message after the 45 minute time period is not possible. Should you have a serious need to correct or remove information from a post, you will need to contact a Moderator of that forum.
