Earthquake!

 - That hit pretty hard. I'm sure you and Brendan felt more than Kyung and I did.

CLASSIC... Just CLASSIC!!!!!!!!!!!! :roflmao:

E

Yeh, we felt it pretty good. I was watching TV and started looking at the cabinet move around abit, a few items fell off the shelf. I am thinking I need to anchor that bad boy to the wall. When my son gets up and start moving to the kitchen, I tell him to "Sit Down", he goes and sits infront of me at the couch and wait for the quake to stop.

It lasted a good 30 - 45 seconds

4.1 near Hawthorne. then a 2.5 after-shock 5 min later.

Maybe we should just put on our swimsuits & grab an inflatable boat now? I mean, if we're gonna be an island...

Got a very short 2 or 3 second house creek up here in crestline. But after being in both big ones in socal, an EEereEe sound is enough to send me runin.

I go streight for my son and say F every one else.

I give them a quick "earth quake" as i run past them, if that isint enough there on there own.

Didnt feel those up here in Riverside.

I wouldnt mind being an island... :D

Yeah, a few things got knocked off the shelves in every room, new/bigger crack in my ceiling, still checking for gas smell from the heater.

BTW, my crack got a little bigger. My house was built in '47, are these good solid houses? Built after the war during the baby boom in north long beach.

your crack got bigger? :moon:

usually those houses are pretty solid if your slab is in good condition but I always feel better knowing that the framing is held together with screws instead of penny nails. TImes like these I wish I had a nice double wide instead. :)

For the most part. For good measure I would get down in the crawl space and check to make sure everything is bolted up.

You probably have lath and plaster walls so I would guess the crack is cosmetic.

Wouldn't hurt to inspect the stem walls underneath the house.

I was sitting in my Jeep talking on the phone when I thought we were having another earthquake. But it was just Prater sneaking up behind me and shaking the Jeep.

BTW Robert, thanks for stopping and chatting (not).
