Has anybody here tried Goodyear Eagle GTII tires on their XJ's?

I dislike goodyear's. Too many people I know have had too many problems with the tires, like falling apart on the highway.
Some people have had great luck with them though.

We've had pretty good luck with GY tires. My sister's Briarwood had 225/70/R15 GT2's and she got about 40-50k out of them, but I never spent much time driving the truck in the 7 years she had it and she couldn't tell me much on actual performance (she didn't pay enough attention to how they drove:dunno: ) The 235/75/R15 Wrangler Silentarmors I'm replacing have lasted 40k and would have got to atleast the advertised 50k if I bothered to rotate them regularly too.

Some of the Goodyear models are decent. Most people I know with XJ's run A/T, so I dont know that many that run street tires.
The Wrangler MT/R's ( I guess now the kevlars) are really good. A set that was cheap and decent that I had on one of my old XJ's was the wrangler SR/A's ( I think )

Dayton Timberline A/T
Bridgestone Dueler A/T (693, 695 or REVO)
Cooper Discoverer STT

x2. Had 3 sets of the Revo, and now on a set of 695s. I did want the Revo but they didn't have them in my size.
I like my trimberlines. cheap and good. Performed great in dirt, rain, and of course dry roads. Suspect sticky mud will be a problem. Jeep equiped with bilsteins and 235 timberlines handles "great" in the dirt (so says my cuz who rallies with a quattro coupe).
