Dynomax $75 rebate, $79.95 for catback after rebate

Hey guys, This may have been posted already, but Dynomax is doing another rebate right now.

$75 rebate by mail. Purchase price of $142.99, invoice price of $154.98 after handling minus the rebate puts total cost of the catback at $79.95

Hopefully I didnt do somethings stupid but I bought it, for $80 it doesnt seem like I could really go wrong, and Ive heard good things about the dynomax stuff.

Yeah it sounds good. I put one on my son's 99 for x-mas, he's happy with it.

That's the one I have- that's a pretty good deal. If you use drop shackles, you may need to modify the tip (it's cocked to the right and would contact the shackles), but for $80, it's probably worth the few minutes to do that.
 
Thats a hell of a deal I am happy with my dynomax for sure. May have to get one for the "new" XJ i'm getting!

They are pretty quiet at first. But after about a year they can get pretty throaty. My friend was pulled over a while ago because a cop thought he didnt have a muffler and mine is getting that way too. But it isnt bad sounding, you can tell there is a jeep coming around the corner of my block when he comes to my place.

It says they ship in 10-17 days. that could be cutting it close to the deadline for this rebate. but if it works out it'll be a damn good deal.


I'd order one but i don't want to be stuck with a $120 exhaust i really don't need. But for $40 i'd like it...

I wouldn't mind checking it out before you put it on. I'd like to see if its really compatible with an 01 or not. I only live 10 min from you.
 
Here's what makes it "compatible" with the 00-01s. That's a typo on Jeg's site, as Dynomax lists this system as fitting all 4.0s from 93-01, with only the 00 and 01 requiring this flange. Instead of slipfitting the cat/muffler junction, you clamp this to the muffler inlet side and bolt it to the existing flange, according to the directions.

I was a little disappointed in how quiet mine is (put it on about a month ago).
I'm hoping it gets a little louder.

For those that ordered - I got my invoice via email, and the rebate form is a download on Jeg's site so you can mail it in before the box arrives.
FWIW, I had mine 2 days after ordering.
I haven't gotten the rebate yet.
 
I was gonna buy the Dynomax setup($110 at AA) for one of the fixer uppers I bought and then figured why not spend an extra $50 for a 2.5" stainless magnaflow and mandrel tailpipe--figures they'd do another rebate a week after I bought it(doh). At least the new owner is paying for it, it'll sound better and last longer. My youngest brother has the Dynomax setup and it does sound nicer as it ages.
