I'm about to purchase another XJ to swap my parts onto, and I had a question for the more enlightened ones out there:
The new -actually older- vehicle is a 91 Cherokee Laredo (2WD) with the 2.5L engine and auto tranny.
If at all possible I would like to swap in the 4.0 L engine and NP231 TC from my 98 XJ, while keeping the auto tranny in the 91.
However, after looking at AA's website, they say "....we do not offer any adapters to retain this transmission (AW4) with a new engine." Am I SOL? I can just put the AX-15 in if I have to, but I kinda wanted the auto.
