I swear that sombody at my school moved my seat around a few times. A recruiting officer left a buisness card in my cupholder. Once sombody jacked my unopened capri sun, but thats ok, its only a capri sun, I dont leave anything I would cry about losing in there.

I took mine off a couple summers ago. I did it in June and put them back on in Sept. I never left anything of value and I used my locking glove box. I know it had been through a couple of times but they didn't take anything.... they even left my change in the console. I didn't do the removable mod that will come this summer. If you value your interior don't leave them off. It was kinda a pain in the ass to cover my seats everytime they called for rain. And if it was raining the back seats weren't exactly dry.

One thing nobody has mentioned is legality of it. I never had any issues but did get some funny looks from cops. I did get a couple of convex mirrors that had the sticky on the back to cover the mirror issues.

Legality issues will vary from state to state but from what I've seen is most states only require a rear facing mirror and never mention the doors at all. So as long as you have your rearview mirror on the windshield you should be fine. For the rain part get some of those cheap pool noodles from walmart and cut them down to fit inside the front fenders and push them back towards the door hinges as far as you can squeeze them in. Otherwise first time you drive wet roads your entire left side will be soaking wet from the spray coming through the space in the fender at the hinges.

After reading your post I had to get my coat and wonder out thru the 10" of snow in the driveway to check that out. Ive had the Jeep since june and never noticed that there was a lock on my glove box :doh:

I leave nothing of value in mine as well except a crappy cd player I wouldnt mind having jacked so I can upgrade but last summer when I finally pulled my doors off I had to drive to target. A couple kids in a lifted toyota were laughing on my way in so I made it quick, came out and they had dumped water all over my driver side seat, at least it was water. Not a very fun cold drive home. Other then co workers throwing dead animals in my rig no other problems.
