OK, this was posted in the tips thread in the BOD forum a while back and never taken care of, so I will repost it here now

can someone please remove the Privacy link in the bottom menu bar at the top of the forum, and replace it with a link called 'Donations' pointing to: http://donate.naxja.org/

we already have a privacy statement at the bottom of every page, so it's just redundant anyways

Except that the privacy link at the top does *NOT* go to the same document as the privacy link at the bottom.

I'm going to ask for clarification.

A copy of the note in BOD area.....

We have 2 of them....one at the top of the forum under the 'new posts' link, and the other at the bottom in the right corner.

I was going to have Jeff place the Donate link (yes, I still want to finish this simple task...) in place of the privacy link at the top of the forum.

Upon doing so, Jeff realized that both links point to different locations.

It looks like the link at the top is pointing to the correct page, while the one at the bottom is pointing to the forum rules page.

Then after checking out the Rules link at the top of the forum, it appears to be pointing to an outdated rules page.

These links need to be straightened out.

The Rules link at the top needs to point here:
http://www.naxja.org/html/forums_code_of_conduct.htm

...and then we can replace the top privacy link with the donate link.

Let me know if this sounds good to all of you?

Might as well bring this up here. I know I was asked to be an admin before....is that still the case?

Yes, I asked you before.... as you seem to be familiar with vBulletin. You declined. Are you now interested?

I declined a while back....but when Sean asked me a few weeks/months ago (before this little forum was created), I told him I would step up and help.

And having my DSL connection go down last night doesn't help either. Still down at the moment, and no indication of when it's gonna come back up. And unfortunately, it looks like the ISP's DHCP/authentication server went down and dial-up is also whacked.

This has not been a pleasant month all the way around.

Randy would make a good vB admin... if he is willing to jump in and help. He knows the software and would be a good choice to help... IMHO.

Want out? No, I WILL be out as fulltime server/forum admin. The difference is if we have anybody that can step up after I leave. Is that you? Even if I think you are a dickhead? (thought I do not... you just annoy me). Yes, I think you would do well as vB admin and Jeff as server admin..... if he can figure out how to get on the series of tubes we lovingly call the innerwebbs.
