Doing a head gasket. What cheap performance parts I could add?

Thank You guys. I am looking at ebay right now.
For the casting number. Is that a number located on the head or on the block. I was cleaning the grease off block yesterday and noticed bunch of raised numbers and letter on the side where intake goes. Didn't notice any numbers on the head, but probably wasn't looking close enough.
This is what I found JC JEEP REMAN HEAD
Notice it says Jeep Loredo. while my is Jeep Cherokee Sport and it doesn't mention anything about High Output.

hahah I got a 99 intake manifold, 60mm DIY bored throttle body & a spacer.
I only kept my spacer for the cool turbo like sound that make ricers do a double take:scottm:

haha I'm serious to. I was worried it wouldn't fit under the hood. But with my flat top k&n intake it works pretty good.

Dang bro I guess you don't read your own thread. I bought a reman head for less than $300. I did get it off ebay. I did get it through J&C. And I did say all of this a few posts up.

You want a 7120(91-95) or a 96 0630 with the temp port on the driver's side rear corner.

Are all of XJ from 91-95 7120, High Output?
I really don't want to get screwed by buying non-HO head.
Can you please check the ebay link I posted and let me know if this is it.
I'd hate to get burned.

As the ad says, you have to specify 2686, 7120, or 0630. 2686 is renix 87-90, 7120 is 91-95, 0630 is 96-99. J&C and Odessa are trustworthy.

Thank You kindly sir. please do not get upset with me as I rather ask twice and buy once.
I think this is it for me. I have all parts needed to put the clunker together. party1:

My 99 Intake bought off eBay came in today. I cant say I was impressed with the packing but then again it's not piece of electronics.

First thing I notice is free Throttle Body with my new intake, which looks similar to my 92 xj throttle body except that big square sensor. I believe it's MAP sensor. So next question, which MAP sensor location is the preferred one and which MAP sensor style is preferred. Throttle Body or Firewall.

Plus Free Injectors w/ rail. All injectors are single stream. I would think that 99 they would have 4 nozzle holes but the do not. What they do have is different fuel flow rating. I think these are 23lbs and my 92 xj's are 21lbs.

Still waiting for reman. head so I could finally drive that JEEP and take it offroad.

You didn't do too bad paying $165 for an intake manifold with fuel rail, injectors, tb and sensors(too bad they chopped the wires so close to the connectors). You should use the 91 injectors, 91 fuel rail, 91 TB, and keep the map on the firewall. Edit: Did the power steering bracket you bought include the tensioner assembly?

That square sensor is the MAP sensors. Yours is on the firewall. If you use that throttle you can leave that sensor there as is or remove it and block the port off. You will probably also have to swap over your sensors as well.

Fuel injector info from Dino:
The following is a list of the injectors used on the 4.0L since 1987 along with their rated static flow:

Model Year, ...Part #, ......Colour, .....Fuel Pressure, ...Static Flow,
'87-'90, ........53003956, ...Black, ........39psi, .................18.6lb/hr
'91-'93, ........33007127, ...Brown, .......39psi, .................21.0lb/hr
'94-'95, ........53030343, ...Tan, ...........39psi, .................21.0lb/hr
'96-'99, ........53030778, ...Grey, .........49psi, .................23.2lb/hr
'00-'01, ........04854181, ...Blue tip, .....49psi, .................22.5lb/hr

I wouldn't use those injectors unless you get them cleaned. You don't know their history. They also have a different connector than yours do.

I didn't get the power steering bracket yet but it should come with the tensioner assembly, at least that's what ebay item description said.

Ok. I will do as you say, not sure if 92 fuel rail is bolt on to 99 intake. I will see when I get there. I just don't understand with the injectors, so 23lbs is not going to make it better? Especially with 99 intake, bored tb and apn headers and hi-flow catalytic. Will I be better off buying 4 hole nozzle injectors, let's say 21lbs FORD or the ones mentioned on fivo0motorsports?

]My power steering bracket came in today. It came with pulley and the long adjusting bolt. Still waiting on my reman. head and sunny weather to start putting the jeep back together.

Can someone please school me on XJ exhaust. So APN header outlet is stock 2.25" but do they have XJ headers with 2.5" outlets or even 2.75"? Once I get header on I am thinking about cutting the exhaust behind the flange and put exhaust couplers such as
.f

And then maybe go to 2.5 id all the way to catalytic converter that is also going to be 2.5 hi-flow. Does it make sense or should i keep the size stock and just go with larger diameter catback system?

Look at this bolt in my old head

Now reman head.

I am having difficult time removing it from old head to put in new. Perhaps I could buy such bolt in a store (dealer item only?), and forget about removing it from old head. Looks like it's a stud of some kind.
ViseGrips will only mess up the thread on the stud. I could use cordless drill to try to remove it. Does anyone know the part number or size of the stud just incase i need to get a new one, please. I don't have tools to measure the thread on it, nor do I have any bolts to match it with.
