Dodge "hub-less" hardware.....

I am putting together a hybrid axle for my XJ right now. 00 Dodge D60 front outers (33 spline) with a standard D60 u joint. Inners will be 35 spline. I haven't decided on using the D60 housing or HP44. Should be fine with either one. I am going to run uncut H1 wheels and cant have a locking hub sticking out of the wheel and I am just trying something different.

Overall, should be a strong axle with OEM shafts. I can get alloy stub shafts for the 60's too. Just FYI, 99 down D60's are 30 spline outer and 32 inner. 00+ are 33 outer 32 inner.

If you haven't built it yet, and would like a set of 1541 Dutchman axles for it with Spicer u-joints, let me know. They're 35 spline inner and 33 spline outer. I have a set coming out when the CTM stuff goes in.

A few companies make drive flanges for standard ford or chevy d44 knuckles. I've also heard rumors of toy flanges being adapted to the d44. Mad4wd and Tera make the flanges.

While the unit bearing option would be my first choice, I have yet to see this as a valid option for an old school 44.
Someone posted up on NAXJA this week that SOLID Axle has 44 spindles, wheel hubs & slugs, this would be the next best thin IMO. Eliminating the POS ford wheel hub would be a huge upgrade, as I posted in the SOLID thread, I wouldn't be building a 609 had this come out 6 months ago.
