Do you Know or do you have the bigest cherokee?

Sounds a bit like Biggest Envy, or maybe XJ Envy. :gag:

Mines at 9 inches of lift, trimmed front and back fenders, Dana 44's front and rear, 35x12.5 Trxus on 15x8 AR-767s, detroit lockers front and rear, 4.88's, tera low 4 to 1 T-case, rubicon seats, roll bar, 4 points, ARB bull bar, warn 8000, and $5,000 of other smaller things that just add up too fast.
It's really too high, even with the wider axles, (custom front to 62 inches wide). Next major change is to cut the inner rear fender wells, re-box them, and lower the thing an inch or so. Goal is to get the same articulation without so much lift.
BTW it ramps an 800 on the RTI.

maybe people are trying to compensate for something? lol j/k
:geek:

It doesn't have to be "big" to be a good job. I've seen 4 inch lifts that were a work of engineering brilliance and 8 inch lifts that were a piece of SH**.
I'd rather have a good performing "small" lift any day. Besides, it takes more work IMHO to learn to handle your rig well. No huge lift will compensate for lack of experience.

I started wheelin steady in my own rig about 5 years ago when I was 18, I did the 31's, 33's, 35's, 38's, and now the 42's. People do what they want with their rigs and build them how they want, you are oh so right about lift compensating for experience, I've seen guys who wanna play so they (because they have the money) build a big ol rig and would prolly have better luck if it was stock. A good friend of mine said it best " I had more fun in my truck (yota) when it was stock with 31's then I do now (92 with a SAS and 35's). I'm by no means loaded with money, I'm 23 and living at home working for a refridgeration company for 4 years.........and don't have any drug habits, although some beg to differ....LOL.

but if you wanna see bad azz XJ's....2&1/2 tons with 44's and AWS.

There's so much more to sex than 42's! :kissyou:

There's so much more to wheelin' than 12 inches! :gag:

Maybe I have that backwards.... That was one of the things I really liked about the 03 Moab Show and Shine. The "Sleeper" division/award. An award that recognized that you could hide a real capable rig under a medium lift, 32's and no exo-cage. Too cool...

Heh heh. C'mon guys, take it easy on the newbie...... :laugh3:

Hey Julio, you'd get alot farther with your interests if you spend some time at www.xjdb.com. Its a huge XJ database of pictures and it's got a search feature that will allow you to look for pictures of certain things like 42" tires, 12" lift and so on.
