DIY media blasting in the Denver area?

Anyone know of a place where I could take 5 aluminum wheels and use a media blasting cabinet?

Anyone have a cabinet I could come use and rent?

The wait time at the shop I've used in the past is a month out right now....

Just looking to knock off the crappy rattle can job already done to them and then re-shoot 'em.

How about some chemical stripper? You've had a lot of experience with strippers.:shhh:

What type of media do you want to use to blast?

Chemical strippers are messy and unpleasant. And, they start the aluminum corrosion process.... which then is hard to get out of the metal and will cause the new paint to peel soon after application.

Don't care about what media is used as long as it's not real powerful or abrasive. Just need to knock off the paint and give the surface something for the paint to bite to.

There's also lots of wheel weight adhesive on the inside wheel surface that'd be nice to make gone.

I have a small sand blasting unit that connects to an air compressor you can borrow. I have used the real fine Quickrete sand in it and it works pretty well.

I got a shinny new blaster for christmas, but im not close! maybe if you came down sunday for the RAM run you could use it then..... or if you send em down I'll do it and send em up to ya LMK

Check with Club Workshop. I'm pretty sure they have a small media blaster you can use. Their day rate is a little steep for a 2 hour job though.

In speaking of blasting.. I need my undercarriage coating (aftermarket rubbish) blasted off.. is that something people do?
