Disposing of a motor

How do I get rid of a motor? I don't think pulling it out and selling it is an option - it's where the fire started. I'm planning on getting a dumpster to throw the rest of the truck into. They say no motors. So do I take the motor to a junkyard seperately? Any better options? Thanks.

Take it, under cover of darkness, and "place" it in somebody you do not likes yard.

If caught claim you are installing a modernist sculpture titled "motorvation" at the request of the homeowner.

My friend who owns a shop has someone who comes by weekly to take an metal, aluminum and pays him for it. Steel to recycle is at a premium now. That long block is probably worth about $30 on the conservative side.

I doubt the basic block, crank or head were damaged. Try offering it on the Classifieds forum as a base for a stroker build-up.

No way, same bridge? Never made the connection, or maybe I never noticed if he said where it was.

Thanks for the suggestions. I think if anyone wants to come pick it up on dismantling weekend, they can, otherwise, sold for scrap.

same bridge, i've never seen the movie, just saw it in the previews and a friend of mine got caught in the traffic when they were filming it. i *hear* it's *not* fun to drop a bowling ball off in the middle of the night :D i've heard it is the highest road surface in the country

A car went off of that bridge a few years ago when I was coming back from a wheeling trip with a few of my buddies up that way. They had all kinds of helicopters and crap out there. I looked like they missed the sligt curve coming from the Auburn side.

Higher than the Royal Gorge bridge? Wow! I'm impressed. Crossing that rickety old bridge at Royal Gorge was a slightly nerve-wracking experience for someone who suffers from acrophobia.
