It is probably going to be a matter of a resistor. Since it is common to 2 different displays I would suspect the headlight switch itself.
Or, it might be you. I don't know how old you are, but speaking for myself, it is a depressingly common occurence for me to walk into a room and try to turn on the lights only to discover they are already on. And this is after converting all my fixtures to LEDs. And I am not even old!
ETA: The other possible "resistor" is a bad ground. If there is a ground connection common to both of those it could be the culprit.
