seriously the cheapest fuel to make costs more that the best? come on somethings wrong here. i don't know how we are letting them get away with it. i propose a nation wide boycott of fueling with diesel for a day or 2 i know it will be hard for some but for most no big deal everyone fill up on sun or monday and don't fill up to wed or thursday. but i am serious lets try and get every diesel truck in america to do this. shoot and if i owned a trucking company i would be throwing a fit about this. what ever happened to diesel .10$ less than regular? lets spread this idea around the web and lets make something happen not sit idly by and get bullied around. if we don't do something about it than who will? not the people getting there pockets padded in the gov or the oil companies reporting RECORD PROFITS. lets make it happen.

In the member's forum, why?

Coincidentally, there WAS supposed to be a trucker's strike on Nov.1, but that oviously didn't fruit.

Truckers found out that if they were to strike they could be arrested for breaking RICO laws....

Then the government could take over the transportation industry....Nobody wants that.

idk if you think if belongs someware eles than tell me were to put it. and as for the trucker strike yes that can be a problum but if every "light diesel" owner in america did not fill up for 2-3 days for 2 -3 weeks in a row i think we may get noticed.

In the off-topic forum.
But I see you just realized that.:)

(Like Rainman) Yah...def, def, definitly off topic...

Seriously, you want to scare the bejevas out of the oil companies? Take a bike to work or car pool. Instead of one day, or one week of a "Boycot", a sustained decrease in demand will do more to drop the price of fuel than anything else.

My take on the disparancy between the price of Diesel and the price of Gasoline is that Diesel fuel is high because trucks can't just stop running and planes can't stop flying; it would destroy our ecconomy. Where as, Gasoline prices are depressed because it's a political issue and the oil companies doesn't want the government in their board rooms. Many corn/soy producing States are also subsidising the cost of 10-20% Ethenol blend dropping the price of mid grade gas below the price of regular to encorage it's use.
