2wd (I don't need 4x4...that's what the Jeep is for.)
6.0L (GAS)
56,000 miles
Needs rear tires.
Set up for trailer brakes.
2" receiver.
Couple of cig. burns on the pass seat.
Body is straight, other than door dings.
Drives great.
I like it.
The best part.......I didn't get a "Hell NO" from the wyfe.:D
It has been hit/repaired on the pass side bed. Bed side was replaced. Looks good now.

Opinions?

I'd go to the shop that did the work and get a rundown on how bad it was it and what work was done. Good looking truck though. What kind of mileage does the 6.0 get?

A buddy of mine here at work has a 2500HD with the 6.0 gasser.

He gets 10-12 empty and 8-10 with a load.

The shop owner has been driving it as his personal vehicle and he claims he gets 14. (not towing)

I've done lots of business with this guy in the past. Very reputable guy, does good work in my book.

Looks good.

It is about time you joined the trailer crowd.

Rev
Trailer would have to wait a while. I know enough local guys with trailers, I could borrow one pretty easily.

11K almost sounds cheap.
it really does, i was thinking it would be around 18

Nice looking truck, I like the black w/ chrome trim and the extended cab, short bed configuration. How does the engine sound? I had heard somewhere about issues with piston slap on the gassers, but I don't remember if it was the 6.0 or 8.1

I have one LT245/75R16 load range E tire that was the spare on my Suburban before I upsized, and it was never rotated in so for all intents and purposes it is brand new. AFAIK, that's the size on the truck you are looking at. I'd trade for a nice meal (Mendy's perhaps?) and then you only need to buy one tire, or possibly none if the spare is in good shape.

Looks good, 11 sounds cheap. My brother has one; 4x4 with the Allison drive train and the biggest gas engine (496 I think). He can get 16 if he keeps his foot out of it.

The 6.0 gets the 4L80E I think, which is a good tranny. The one behind the 6.5 TD in my Sub has been trouble free at 165k so far, with nothing more than the annual fluid flush and filter change.

Wholesale on that is around $15,K.

Jump on it.....

Yeah, I know.

He just want's out from under it since he doesn't drive it anymore. He's asking what he owes on it.

I really don't want another payment........:rattle:
But.....I really want a damn truck!:firedevil

I will take donations.
:D

The whole thing is kind of a fluke. I used to stop in once or twice a week just to BS. I hadn't been in for a very long time and decided to stop in since I was in the area. We got to talking Jeep and whatnot and then....BAMM. Another payment oppurtunity.

Looks like my WF raffle ticket stash may dwindle severely.

If you buy it say goodbye to that pristine looking xj.

It's far from "pristine", but I know what you're getting at. I'm trying not to think about that.:conceited

That's a nice looking truck Mike ... but not quite as nice a "looker:" as my '95 GMC. :D

I know where yer at when it come to "another payment" ... bummer.
