Daystar shackles vs. Teraflex

most of them are the same, i have the daystar no trouble in the year+ i have used them.

I was wondering if the teraflxe budget boost was worth the extra bucks over the daystar. I did not know if the shackle lengths were the same or not

teraflex = $125
daystar = $100

or make your own, actually get 2" of lift (not 1.75" up front and 1" rear), and save $40.

chevy 2" lowering shackles = $30

RE 2" coil spacers = $33

you can also go with an AAL instead for anywhere from $35 and up if you're opposed to a shackle.
$37 http://www.jcwhitney.com/webapp/wcs...-1&productId=218259&mediaCode=ZX&appId=504043
$60 http://rustysoffroad.com/Merchant2/...GY&Store_Code=rustys&Category_Code=sus_xj_par
$70 http://www.rubiconexpress.com/dynamic/mainpage.asp?folderid=773

seems like a no brainer to me, unless you really just want to make one phone call instead of 2.

Do the Chevy shackles fit well? I already have my exhaust coming out the side in front of rear wheel (careful getting in that back door!) so no worries about shackles rubbing.

Also, anyone have numbers for some inexpensive shocks for 2" lift? Gabriel, monroe or something that autozone carries for instance?

the bushing sleeve on mine was about 1/8" too wide so i ground it down a little and the bottom of the shackle is a little too wide so you can either just crank it down or add a washer on each side. 5 minutes of work was worth the money saved to me.

i too would be very interested to hear what shocks people are running with their budget boosts, i hope to have my XJ two inches taller by the end of the summer, and i was planning on doing the front shocks of a YJ for me rear, and rear shocks off a ZJ for my front, did i get that right? Any info would be immensely appreciated.

"To each his own"

I run Daystar shackles and they have served me well. Very beefy, greasable bolt, zinc coated... :thumbup:

Nah, just doin a search for info on BBs out there and came across this one. Figured I'd add the information so when it became a 6 month odl thread again, it might be just slightly mo helpful...
