Dana 60 rear ?

Why would a full foating axle have c-clips? Let's think a little bit, kiddies.

Unless you meant the semi-floating version. In that case, I dunno. The neat thing about that axle however is you can get it in 6 or 5 lug variants to match a front end swap.

Only a small amount of chevy 14 bolts where full floaters even the 14 bolt in the H2 is a semi floater

30/3500 trucks, vans, suburbans where all semi float as where the 1500's series,

only a few 20/2500 series 82 and up. 4500-5700 LB l range trucks used full floaters according to the ARB bible

There are 2 types of 14 bolt rear ends. A full-float 14 bolt with a 10.5" ring gear And the semi-float 14 bolt with a 9.5" ring gear. The semi-float is c-clip from the factory.

on the ford 9" most where 28 spline from factory

30 splines in full size where in 76-86 e100/150 and bronco and F100/150

all the rest where 28 spline

BTW- I think YOU meant 31 spline when you were talking about the Ford 9" rear.

Ummm, my '97 K2500 Sub has the FF 14 bolt. Anything diesel or big block has it, 3/4 or 1-ton. I'm not well versed on the newer-than-'99 trucks though.

The NBS (new body style) trucks use the AAM 14 bolt (11.5" ring gear, IIRC,) behind the 8.1 big block and the Duramax, which is different from the traditional one we are all used to. The older 14 bolt is retained behind the 6.0 liter, but I'm not sure if it is FF or SF. This is true for pickups & 3/4 ton Suburbans.

The age of your catalogue is not a problem. There have been two 14 bolts since the early 80s. One with a 9.5" ring gear, 33 spline axles and semifloat. The other with a 10.5" gear, 1.5" shafts and full float.

Lockers and gears are not interchangeable at all.

ARB does not make a locker for the larger axle, which is why it's not in your catalogue. Should be out soon, though.

Yep, 2 versions of 14 bolt axles, the 9.5" ring gear axle is usually called the 14P (Passenger), the full float 14 bolt with the 10.5" ring gear usually is called the 14T (Truck) and can be found in all those Ex-Army Chevy 1-ton trucks and they have a detroit with 4.56 gears. Those are completely different axles and they have nothing in common except the number of cover bolts.

Thats about right for a rear 60, the front is what kills you

What kind of support is needed to run a d60 rear? Yea that one dodge d60 is the exact width needed, but what kind of reinforcement is needed on the spring attachment points?

I am about to do a 60 front/rear swap and will run 38s. With this i will making a internal cage that will tie into the frame rails to stiffen it up and then i will sleeve the sections where the cage ties in to the frame and the leaf brackets will come off and i will sleeve there also. untill i move to 42s the entire frame will not be sleeved but sections of it where most stress will occur. it mainly depends on what size tires you are running as to how much stress will be put on the frame.

I believe TNT customs makes a good xj sleeving kit you might want to look into that if you arn't into making your own...http://www.tntcustoms.com/webv2/default.asp#
