You will not just "simply" change ring & pinion from one to another, it is a detailed time consuming process and you will need the proper tools/gauges to do so properly. :thumbup:

Yeah, I understand. I'm an ASE cert. tech at a GM dealer, I've got all the necessary equipment available. Never done it before, but of course I have friends here who have.

Good news! The 29-spline I scored is indeed a 3.55, so now all I have to do is make sure my stock ratio is as well.

Your stock ratio is probably a 3.55, it about the most common ratio in a rig w/ a 4.0 and an auto tranny
