Dana 30 4.10 gears?

How can I tell what Dana 30s come with 4.10 gears? I found a 2.5 liter engine at the local jy and didn't find a tag to tell me the gear ratio.

I beleive all 2.5l, 5 speeds came with 4.10. See what the others think though, I'm not a 100% on that...

was there one on the rear axle?

options are to spin the tires and count driveshaft revolutions...or pop the cover and count teeth. Ring gear teeth divided by pinion teeth = ratio

Pop the cover and the RG/Pinion tooth count is usually stamped on the RG.

Divide the smaller number into the larger number and you'll get your ratio.

not all 2.5l jeeps came with 4.10 i have found 2 the the last week that cam with 3.54. if it was a tag call randy's ring and pinion and give them the rumbers on it. they can tell you what you have

Thanks for the advice.. I'll have to try to tooth count it looks like.. No tags on this one at all. Not even in the rear.
