Walked to go to a call this morning to find my window lying on the ground and my ipod gps, wallet, drill and socket set missing. Pisses me off. Now i have to waste 10 bucks a month to protect my identity and spend money to replace my equipment i need for work.

Damn man... thats crap... And you know that they more than likely never get caught.

you are being punished for selling your xj :D. jk

ya that does suck.

i got my radio stolen when i worked at sportsmans warehouse a few years ago and they found the guys that stole in across the freeway. i was able to get my radio back, but the face didn't work on it when they stole in so i never reinstalled it. good luck!

I am sorry to here that. Before I moved to Rich's my apartment got hit in the middle of the day. People are getting desperate. Yes my insurance covered it but... They also took my 12gauge and my 30/30, that's what worries me the most is those two items. And even though people saw them at my place they couldn't get a good id to find them. Now its I will shoot first ask questions later.

Sorry to here this. I have been real lucky over the years. I had my car radio tied down to where took forever to pull it, steal it. Then it died one day, so I spent hours getting it out, pulling it, and left it on the front seat of the car. Some one stole it that night. Funny part was they stole a burned up radio/cassette player, back in 1975.:laugh3:

My house is still boarded up from Hurricane Ike. Looks abandoned. And my jeeps look like JY junk. Best theft deterrent I have ever seen.:D

I once had $1000 of tools in my 20 year old junker station wagon at the university parking lot, with the rear window down (was in a hurry and forgot to roll it up) all day long, and no one bothered it. Guess they figured with the window down in a 20 year old junkie looking SW there could not possibly be anything of value inside.

By the way, you can force the 3 credit report agencies to put a security lock (freeze, due to stolen identity property in the wild) on your credit accounts for free that forces anyone who gets a credit application in your name to contact you directly (home phone for instance) to verify the credit request is not a fraud attempt. It is free, and they are required to do it.

I had to do this 3-4 years ago when a US database was compromised and I was notified by mail of the security threat.

Or maybe they just see all the jeeps out front and figure it's not a house, but a jeep parts depot :roflmao:

Yah, but if you put the fraud alert freeze on there, you become the one they call if anyone requests a credit report for issuing any new credit. If you want the $10 expense, fine, but you might want both, unless the $10 fee outfit files the fraud alert for you?

heh, i just put a new sticker on my rig that so far has worked great..

(of course it works great...jeep stays in the garage)

Pshoooot. Last time I saw someone out front of my house peekin at my dads truck they got shot by me in the back of the knee.

I'm old enough to realize that the best theft deterrent is to leave your windows down, doors unlocked, NOTHING in the vehicle, and taking the face plate to the sound system inside with you.

I would MUCH rather have whatever garbage that I've left inside one of my vehicles stolen than have to replace a window. I mean, can you imagine the cost associated with replacing one of the rear quarter windows of my car? OUCH!!!

Still, sorry to hear that your stuff was stolen man. I hate people who think that they are more important than others and just take what they want. While I'm not normally a violent person, I hope that you find out who they are and give as much in return. I mean they don't need those parts to procreate as much as you need a few moments of pleasure right?
