i retired my 89 with 186000 miles to the weekend hauler, now i drive a 2000 lincoln ls, a lot nicer ride, but i still love my jeep. it never fails especially in the snow when the ls wont
mine has been weekend warrior rated for about 4months now I still drive it sometimes just for fun but there is nothing better than wheeling as hard as possible and not worrying if I break something I cant go to work.
My DD is a '90 chevy ext cab which is also my tow rig.

My '92 hasn't been needed as a DD for two years or so (that's what the '87 and '96's are for), and I started to add "stuff" to it to make it more playable.
Not that she isn't reliable enough to perform normal driving duties though - this ain't no trailer queen and she still makes the trip out to Utah and CO regularly under her own power - 210,000 and counting.
You don't have to give up one mode for the other with these rigs - that's the beauty of it.
