Well it's time to put a D44 on the front of my 89 XJ!!
I really need pictures of XJ with D44 front ends, the more the better :)
In a previous thread it was decided by most guys the ford radius arms were the way to go. What I have is a D44 from a 74 Bronco. I plan on putting in Moser inner and outer shafts, Warn gold hubs, Aussie locker,Hi-steer, 4:88 gears and at least 35" BFG KM's
But I REALLY NEED THE PICTURES!! Please send them my way or send me a link to them. The guy helping me is getting started this weekend so the sooner the better.
Thanks for your help

I know I saw a write-up on installing early bronco axles in an xj on this site. I had 75' bronco axles, but ended up selling them because I wasn't ready for the expense involved in making them work. You're on the right track by installing new inners & outers in the dana 44 because ford used the small 260-x u-joints in all early broncos I believe as well as 28 spline shafts in the rear ford 9". You could also pick Farmer Matt's brain who is in the Sierra Chapter and had a whole write-up of his early ford bronco conversion. He lives in Madera I believe. You should have 1 killer xj when you're done!

The 9" from the bronco did have 28 spline axles so I HAD to get a set of Moser 31 spline hi-alloy axles :)
