I am building a waggy front and am going to 5 on 5.5 so I am using chevy spiondles and caliper brackets. Will they fit in a 15" wheel? Its gonna be tight either way. Just curious if anyone has done it and can vouch. I just dont have a wheel to hold it up to currently. ANyone?

If you are running 3/4 ton chevy brakes, then yes, it would be wise to shave the caliper down to fit a 15" wheel. From my eyeballing mock up with mine, the caliper looks to be about 1/8" away from the wheel without shaving. I still need to put my HP44 togther to see how much I need to shave off though. Until I can get pictures, here's at least one picture of a shaved caliper going on a 15" wheel. I used to have a ton of reference websites with pictures of people using 3/4 ton calipers and 15" wheels. Oh well...

Here's a site that has the conversion for a waggy front and he used to have a picture of the shaved caliper with his 15" wheels, but it's not there anymore. It may help as a reference guide for the 5 lug conversion.

Many, many, many have done this.........just do it. The original vehicles probably came with 15" rims, you're talking about 1/2 tons. I have Chevy knuckles, spindles, and calipers with Ford 5 on 5.5" hubs and rotors with 15" rims.

Ditto w/ 4" backspacing on15x8s. 1/2 ton chevy brakes easily fit inside the wheel.
