D44 blowing gear lube

how about just moving the vent to a different location. My 8.8 doesnt have that problem, vent is placed at the top the drivers side axle tube, running a ruffstuff cover with a higher fill plug.

The D44 I've got vents on the top of the drivers side toooob....and that make sense, if the lube is filled above the level of the tooooob...then it will get squirted right out that vent hose into the frame....
So, next time I drain it... maybe drill a hole above the fill plug in the diff...and vent that?:scared:

Why not drill/tap a hole in the DIFF COVER at the correct location and fill through the fill hole till you have lube running out the newly drilled/tapped hole. If you screw up its a $125 mistake not a new D44 mistake. :repair:
