Cut Lower Rear Quarters...(pics and write-up)

If no one else post's some up I'll get some tomorrow when it's brighter outside.

Here's mine, sorry the pics aren't that good. i just wanted a "current" pic when i took it, and not an actual rear 1/4 trim pic.

thanks ill email and see what they say.

No problem. I think this write up was actually done by one of his sons. I have a rigidco front winch bumper myself, grade A stuff.

Pretty nice I have a Daystar bumper that wraps around pretty well. I may do this trim anyway.

Why all the rivits and adhesives why not some silicone inbetween the folds to protect from water then welding?

I did this on mine about 4 months ago. I love the way it looks. More aggressive IMO.

I did mine today. When I folded it all up into place I put a generous coating of silicone inside to work as a "glue" Then I put a couple self tapping screws, then I welded everything in place. A little grinding and a little additional black silicone and it looks great. Pictures to follow.

I don't think it was structurally effected by doing it this way because it is all folded under and re-welded. I would venture to say it's stronger than stock. And I have to agree with the above statement it looks WAY more agressive

I guess I'll have to take pictures also. Did mine last week, turned out pretty good. Can't believe how much more clearance it frees up. I had been thinking about doing it after seeing this thread, then I backed up out of a creek wash, and dented the driver's side below the tail light, and decided it was time. Only took about an hour per side.
