Here is what I did today, it is not complete but only took me about 1 1/2 hours.
Tools:
Multiple extension cords (to my dorm room)
4.5" angle grinder with thin cutting blades
Masking tape
Hammer
The first three pictures are from when I started it a few months ago, haha. I had other things to do like all new doors, front bumper, and maintenance in my dorms parking lot. Got a few warnings along the way.
I cut along where it first starts to taper towards the bottom: all the way around
First cut: bye bye rust
Cut
Today:
Cut- Now do Exactly the same cut on the opposite side (in the wheelwell)
Cut
Hammered the inner flap up
Pushed and hammered outer flap up
Side view
Now what I will do this week is drill holes and pop-rivet the panels together and fill the gaps I have with expanding foam after I spray them with rust converter.
It would have been more in-depth but I got too excited and forgot to take pictures.
