This subwoofer enclosure was built for our 1994 Jeep Cherokee XJ, we built it specifically for the Alpine Type R 10" woofer (dual 2ohm voice coils) to right about 1 cubic foot AFTER port and basket displacement. It's tuned at about 45hz and built (as you can see in the pics) to fit perfectly behind the back seat of the XJ. This enclosure comes with the Woofer and the pcitured Rockford Fosgate Amp. Its Punch 500a2. It pushes out 125x2rms @ 4ohms and .05%thd, or 250x2 rms @ 2ohm(as it is wired now) at .1% thd. Yes we could have easily built the box shallower as not to protrude so far into the cargo compartment but we wanted a nice clean box that would sound right over various types of music. Many of us are leary of buying a used sub etc. Don't be. It's a 1 owner and it hasn't been beaten or abused. The amp gains were never maxed and the subwoofer was broken-in on a pinknoise track. All you should have ot do for this set-up is bolt it down with the supplied brackets or use your own, hookup the hot, ground remote lead and the RCA's and your set to go.

I'm asking $300 obo. This REALLY needs to be a local buy unless your going ot handle all the shipping for us. we'll gladly drop it off at the shipping agent if you really want it but we aren't crating it, boxing it or parting it out. I am located in 21014 zipcode about 35-45 minutes northeast of Baltimore in Bel Air,MD. Any question, please feel free to ask. My email is this screen name at comcast.net

Cool, well then, check away! My brother works in Westminster so that might help a lot too for the handoff if the cash is there :)

Oh,so no one else asks, the reason it's for sale, the Jeep was sold and the new owner had no intereste in teh stereo equiptment so we stripped it pretty far

Well, what can I do to sweeten the deal? I might have a set of GOOD RCA's sitting around I'll throw in, it IS OBO , I just dont want it to sit all summer unused in the garage... nothign more depressing than unused audio equipt

Wow. Not intrested in buying it because I made one almost identical. Really odd how close they are, mine has a 12" RF P3 in it though.

how hard would it be to make it fit a 12"? also, did you do a write up on this forum or any other one?

I didn't do a write up on here or anywhere else... I'm not even sure we posted pics when it was built....I THINK you can just cut the face bigger for a 12" unit, just have ot make sure there is room for the bigger magnet
