We're closing it down.Doesn't fit in our budgets anymore.I am eventually going to buy an old gas station with 2-3 bays to work on our junk but thats not for a while yet.If I didn't have all these airplanes in my big(70x55) shop I could just use that but the airplanes pay the bills

Move rear shock mounts outbard a little bit.
Make and install a t-case skid plate
Weld plates on LCA axle mounts
Change oil on wife's XJ
And,if time permits,install my cage.
I think thats everything.

Forgot a couple of things(which are now done as of yesterday)
Installed front diff. guard
Wired winch controls into center console.

Getting ready to head out to the shop to do the shock mounts,t-case skid,LCA bracket skids, and help Led get some more of his list knocked out.

Just finished my CO2 tank install tonight so that's a load off.

install a MORE 8.8 ebrake kit, run my rocklights and pickup a new wheel... that's it.

i'm sooo done working on my rig... until next payday.

1. install front locker Done
2.weld caps on front axle
3. swap crossmember Done
4. swap rear hatch
5. make and install front and rear bumpers
6. make and install rock sliders
7 mount balance and install 33s Done
8. fix steering done
9. swap rear add a leafs
White trash
1. finish installing new alloy rear shafts done
2. swap power steering pump done
3. fill front diff done
4. change oil in rear diff done
5. fix t case leak
6. fix lower rad hose leak done
oh yeah one other little task.....
Clear everything out of the shop and make it fit in my 2 car garage!!! not even close

hope fully get my steering beefed up. cough cough if some one reads this
alloys frt/rear (if everything works right)

ummmm..yeah all of the above. plus try and figure out why my rear drums are all of the sudden hanging up.

new rear springs are in... gonna break 'em in tomorrow at spring creek.
front shaft back in and everything underneath lubed up.

still more to do this week and next weekend! (though thankfully nothing
like what tom has in front of him!).

Was about to say that the Jeep's done one full day ahead of schedule. Then I saw the new CB setting on the bench. :wierd: But that's not too much.

How's the rest of the crew doing?

Done.Dont know how long it will last (MUCH room for improvment) but hell its experimental and last-minute.Just need to change the oil in the wife's XJ and help Led with a few things on his rigs.Other than that I'm done :guitar: :yelclap:

UPDATE:

so far:
installed new shackles
relocated front brake lines
changed diff fluid
had both shafts balanced
new $kid
tightened up front end (think i finally cured DW... knock on wood)
bumpstop adjustments
swapped leaf packs (driver<–>passenger) and new center pins (thanks fatwreck)
take 2: new leaf packs
fixed vent tube leak (hopefully)

yet to do:
finish rear bumper project -- IN PROGRESS
re-install front shaft -- DONE
secret project -- MATERIALS ARRIVED; IN PROGRESS
something else i'm sure i'm forgetting... -- LIMITING STRAPS!

...plus my "low washer fluid" light came on today, so gotta add that to the list!

Looks like I'll be swapping out UCA bushings...again. I just replaced the damn things a few months ago and the inner bushing is hogged out already. Probably be up for the day on Saturday. No "pointing and giggling" allowed! :laugh3:

After replacing 90% of the brake system, and having it power bled, I have a peddle. It still doesn't stop the way I think it should, but it's not bad. It'll stop the heep and kill the engine in 4-lo and first gear and reverse, so there are some brakes.

Replaced the harmonic balancer, idler pulley, and serpentine belt today. The heep is much quieter.

Still need to change the oil and diffs, wire the compressor, and plumb the lockers, but it's looking better. Should be at the Penrose run on Tuesday to watch.

I'm hoping to make it to Buni Wed or Thurs, but I'm not predicting. It's been six years since I've been to CO fest, and the fates have not been kind. :laugh3:
