I have just finished welding together( still needs to be painted and mounted) the rear bumper on my mj. I bobed the frame quite abit so that the face of the bumper will sit flush with my hitch..still it sticks out pretty far. any sugestions on what to do to solve this problem. oh by the way. cant move the hitch. way to much cuting.. it is welded right on there. with some pretty serious welds. and a whole lot of them. . please post some picks of your homebrew jobs. not just rear bumpers either. im moving on to my front, rocksliders, and cage pretty soon so i could use some good ideas/ insparation/motivation.. here is a picture of mine.
I just driled the holes for the D shackles today.
Today I also moved it up a few inches to flush with the talgate when it is down. should get some pics of that shortly.
I really like the way the bumper looks with just the tubing. well i dont think it looks half bad for a sixteen year old kid haha. but still i would like to make it a bit closer to the rear. also any body have and sugestions on tail lights/ building your own out of metal and puting lights in there.
