Comanche Chief

I plan to set the pinion angle at 13 degrees and at that point I'll weld the coil buckets on at zero. Once that's done I'll make sure the axle is level and I'll weld the C's on at 6 degrees.

So I went ahead and cut 2 inches off the short side of the cast spring perch and cleaned up all the sharp edges. I just chucked up a new cutoff wheel and sectioned it into 3 pieces….. this should allow plenty of room for the coil bucket.

Headed over to the guy who built my cage to weld up my new set of beadlocks…. Worse thing about going up in tire size is you have to change absolutely everything…. A few pics of the process…..

The axles I thought were 80 - 92 Waggy ended up being 72 - 79 which do me no good whatsoever. I'm on the fence between Chromoly and Superjoints or just go ahead and buy the RCV's. Either way it's alot of money... anyone running RCV's?

If you have the cash the rcvs and the warranty attached are hands down the best. We have warrantied stuff from the trail with only a cell phone pic. Awesome product and awesome service.

Thanks I appreciate the response... I am definitely leaning that way..... I talked with them the other day and was told to just send a pic and they would get it in the mail... can't beat that kind of service.

Picked up my Detroit Full Case and Riddler Diff Cover yesterday and ordered the RCV axles and slugs...... Also I haven't seen it yet but my buddy posted up this pic of my MJ in JP magazine. I sent that in about 5 months ago and completely forgot about it.

Finally got around to getting some hood vents in….. Picked these up off the front of a mid 90’s Grand Am. Should do a good job getting the hot air out from under the hood.

I picked up this CO2 tank and mount at a local swap meet for 40 bucks last weekend. Got it painted up and installed today….. I also got my new rear adapters installed and a fresh set of pads. That finishes up the rear, now I just have to finish up the front.

Got my Steering Box drilled and tapped for hydro assist over the weekend as well as adding an additional 2 inches of lift and adding anti-coning rings to my Beadlocks.

I witnessed this.
replacement shaft showed up with the quickness. I was impressed.

and the breakage was in no way the result of a crappy shaft. They'd been beaten on for a long time, and I mean beat. Rev limiter clutch drops on 37's.

no money in my wallet... I had to go to the bank to afford my new shafts. Figured I'd pay once and get it over with..... now I gotta give it back on the installment plan...... :rtm: (this guy reminds me of my local banker when I asked for the money)..... :)

Finally got the beadlocks finished up and the rear of the truck back on the ground. I still have to get the front axle in but it’s nice to have at least half of it finished up.
