Colorado B/S Thread

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Yeah we got put on a safety stand down. Everyone needs to look out for each other out here. Especially with this weather

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Today? Found it weird we didn't hear anything last night about it. They blew it off when someone brought it up. Who knows.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

The sirens I was referring to were the kind found on emergency vehicles. Mountain View Fire is just down the road from, as is the Medical facility that supports the flight for life helicopter. I would've thought I would have heard the commotion.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Nah. Most often they'll toss ya in a pick up and run you to the hospital. They don't like emergency vehicles on site.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Welp Fedex dropped off the replacement Dodge OE bumper I ordered to replace the one some DOUCHEBAG who can't drive hit at the T/A last week ,and I just can't stop laughing B/C it is more complete than I thought it came with all new brackets interal bumper and the truck side new lights and all hardware for less than $240 shipped ,which the laughing is B/C Christoper's Dodge wanted $659 plus tax for the exact same bumper and hardware . The only business I would think a dealer does on parts are the parts you can only get through them ,and I'm sure the occasional person who has no clue and thinks he is getting "GENUINE" Mopar parts .

Re: The Colorado BS thread

I just looked at a Yota clutch with half the pressure plate fingers missing. Three fell to the floor when the tranny was separated, the new hole in the bell housing accounts for a fourth...Where did the other three fingers go???

Just last week I picked up a new taillight for my 2500 from Brandon Dodge. (ice + neighbors mailbox = :bawl:) They wanted maybe half of what other places were asking for the same part online, and had one in stock. Shocked the heck out of me.

Yeah I'm still really happy with Brandon Dodge. Been taking the SRT8 Grand there for everything now. Bought an interior trim piece I'd broken when I snagged a shoe on it getting out. Counter guy saw the retail price and said "that's rediculous". Whipped out a calculator and cut the price in half.

Had dropped the Grand off to get the oil changed and mount up our new snow tires.....they fixed a recall issue while they had it there. This was a recall issue that the Jeep dealership told us that they couldn't do until the parts got sent to them under national back order....which was months ago, yet somehow Brandon Dodge could get no problem....

Then just a couple weeks ago one of the windshield washers on the hood quit spraying - broken at the hose connection. Stopped in on a weekday 5 min before closing thinking I'd have to get it inspected and schedule an appointment for later..... nope. Two lube techs hit up the service manager, grabbed two new washers and replaced both of them right then and there.

Well I got good deal on the valvebody lasy August it was about $700 after 100 core charge with brand new solenoid block which is $250 so the valvebosy was about $450 and that's what trans shops get for rebuilt ones minus the block . My truck is an 09 last year for 3rd gen styling with modern powertain ,and 2010 was first year for updated anodized valvebodies ,so you will never ...probably...have to replace yours . The dealer is hit and miss with pricing ...lol...the CCV filter that sits under the plastic 6.7 cover on top of your motor is about $200 from dealer and $75 from Cummins ,which you can go pick up all filter and rings gaskets from Cummins off I-76/96th right next to Transwest ...lol...this is where the dealer gets theirs and then doubles the price .

The national backorder thing is what I was told for the valvebody which it was true they were back ordered Christopers Dodge did a parts search and they had one sitting at Centinal Dodge ,which it was the only one in the state , so national backorder the parts may be ,but those parts could be sitting in stock at a dealer ,which is probably what took place at Brandon ...lol...dealers are hit and miss ,but C-Dodge world is mostly a miss my truck as bought 3 years ago used it's an 09 cost me over 30k used and the spare tire had sidewall slice from bead to face I felt for that money it should have had atleast a serviceable spare ,But they did not .

For the record, the clutch kit came from O'Riley's, had 65K on it.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Before the work started, he said it was a "made in China" clutch. maybe it was a LUUK! ;)

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Use shitty parts, have shitty problems. Not the fault of the transmission.

No ...lol...But I have friends that are always telling me i need to dump my AW4 and do a standard ...the Two friends I was with at Carnage Canyon both have NV4500 in their Jeeps and always give me shit for the auto in the jeep.

As to Mike I'm pretty sure I understand the need for quality parts my Jeep has nothing but high end parts in it for the most part where they are needed...lol...you don't get to bounce off the REV on 3ft tall boulders uo carnage canyon on 39.5 boggers at under 5psi with a d30 and 8.8
