Colorado B/S Thread

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Man i just got back from a two day trip to texas and back to see dad and the lady....18 hours worth of driving in that damned dually unloaded beat me..

I feel your pain. The only thing worse is to haul an empty car trailer ..... Double the bounce.

The guy that invented concrete highways with expansion cuts should be hung by his ballz. Eff that guy.:flamemad:

Re: The Colorado BS thread

yano i bitch a lot about the quality of our roads in colorado but texas is a whole nother animal. they don't plow every year and beat the hell out of the road so they only repave them when they are just totally caving in and falling apart. This is the first long trip ive ever made with a SFA truck. This truck made me miss my old IFS Chevy

Re: The Colorado BS thread

You were in a caddy, man, compared to a 1-ton. Lol.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Highlands ranch has the worst roads. Evar. I'm sure Troy has suffered their uneven, bentonite heaved concrete awfulness repeatedly. Even Sheila's Mazda feels like a cement truck on those pieces of shit...

Yep. H.R. for the suck. Any community that needs 6-lane highways to support the movement of it's inhabitants is someplace I have no business being. STUPID.

And the University & Broadway intersections under C470 - absolute garbage. They've repaired those areas countless times. Can't keep those expansion cuts from turning into stair steps. Suckage.

Most of I-25 between Denver and Wyoming....... I-80 from Sterling to the state line...... all hideous.

The drive I made from Washington DC to Alton Virginia was like floating on air except for one 6 mile section outside of Roanoak. South Florida roads.... amazing.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Try riding I-40 through Arizona and New Mexico, that's the worst interstate ever.

One of the richest per-capita areas in Colorado having the worst roads? Naaa

It's sad that nearly every city spends more money on promoting growth than maintaining it's infrastructure. Hell fort collins alone has hundreds of "development proposals" aimed at rebuilding properties simply so the city looks more attractive.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Those roads are not that bad in a passenger vehicle empty or loaded ...lol...some serious candy asses on here needing a donut before they hit the interstate .

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Or we drive on these ass roads for a living and it gets old 14 hours into it.
Or maybe we should run boggers everywhere and brag about how well our ride does on the road then. :gee:

Mike I got more CDL miles backing up to Meat/produce docks in places like Chicago , Hunts point , Newark , Boston , Southern C.A. Portland...Ect than you got going forward since I've been driving for a living before you had a licence allowing you to drive after dark without your mom as a co pilot , And my Jeep rides smooth as glass on Boggers ............Rolling behind my Dodge on its trailer .

Time Spent Doing =/= Talent

Otherwise there would be a HELL of a lot less sh*tty drivers on the road!

Hell, I've been skiing for over 20 year. There are guys more than 10 years my junior making me look like sh*t (and I'm a damn good skier) :D

No doubt some can't even back after 20 years , But My reply regarding the Donut was more so humor , however Mikes reply shows he has long since forgotten my profession as he stated those who drive these roads for work have a different perspective , well...LOL...I have been doing just that for over a decade and have driven nearly every road in the lower 48 and Canada ...I don't see the roads being intolerable in a pickup 2500-3500 ...now a bobtail semi or pulling an antique spring ride trailer empty on them is a different story , but still not to bad ...however my perspective may be blurred from living where the roads are listed as "less than county quality" .

Re: The Colorado BS thread

And I''ll make Mike a good deal on some Boggers since they will be replaced by some Bias ply Trepadors this comminmg spring .
