Colorado B/S Thread

Re: The Colorado BS thread

I did chinamans on 31's and open diffs and did all the obstacles with no go arounds. :dunno:

Re: The Colorado BS thread

My condolences to your family.

Celebrating my 16th wedding anniversary. Time to stimulate the economy in Black Hawk, I'm feeling lucky... ;)

Thank you sir!

sure 2 years ago. unless it drastically got easier in the past year, or you beat the shit out of the armor on the thing and took some straps. open/open on chinamens is hard due to all the loose rocks and there seems to be a lot more of them and bigger ruts anymore.

U mean chinawall....

Dude my two door takes a winch to make it over double whammy on chinamens

Nope, no straps, no chains, no winches. The last time I was there was in November. It can be done with the right lines.

Sorry to hear that. I would be more then welcome to go up there and prove to you it can be done. Now granted, 33's or bigger would make it easier, especially on my crossmember and JD rock sliders. :D

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Lol. Stack enough rocks and everything is possible.
With enough rocks, you can drive up to the top of a tree. :dunno:

No stacking rocks for me. The ones in the pick were already there if that's what you were referring to. I guess I just need to take you out to prove it. :dunno:

Re: The Colorado BS thread

No need to prove anything to me. If you ran it you ran it. Don't matter to me. But I wouldn't suggest anyone go out and try it in their clean little rigs. Like any other trail. There are days it will beat up the guy on 37's locked f/r. That's what makes chinamens fun.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Agreed, I used my crossmember and sliders for sure. Granted 33's or bigger with lockers front and rear would help out tremendously, but for me it takes the fun out of it and by all means I never took the hard lines, it was all right side for me. :D

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Ya I'm with ya. I like cramming little jeeps on trails they don't belong on. Makes it fun. Well. It used to. Now I'm too impatient and grumpy for that crap.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

You're buying the stroker and front arb (if it's an arb) as far as I'm concerned. Both axles are basically stock. Otherwise it's a lifted xj with rattle can paint :dunno:

Jeep has 139xxxmi. With a 4.7L stroker motor installed at 130k. Sounds great and has plenty of power to get up the mountain and cruise on the highway. Fast for a lifted jeep. I do have all paperwork.

6.5 Rubicon express life and bilstein shocks
rear Ford 8.8 with 4.10 and disc breaks
front 05 Rubicon Dana 44 with air locker and 4.10. Ask for more info on front axle
3/4 ton steering.
Jcr front bumper with spot for a winch. Jcr cut and folded rear bumper as well as mini boat rocksliders. Great rocker protection.
Disregard the engine and air locker, how much do you think you would spend to build a comparable XJ, from stock?

Re: The Colorado BS thread

The rear axle is 100
Front is 150
Steering can be built 200
Front bumpers can be had for 300.
And jeeps that look like ass and need rattle can to hide paint can be had for sub 800.
Lift depends on piecing or whole. Used or if it is actually new.

So not much.
Jeep long arms lockers gears 33's rims sliders and other parts I was in sisters jeep for sub 2500 bucks. :dunno:

Where?

Jcr cut and folded rear bumper...

as well as mini boat rocksliders
And then?

Not to mention, the wheels and tires, flares, intake, and front seats do not look stock for an XJ.

Comparable to an RE 6.5-inch with Bilstein shocks.

How much are we up to now?

For my taste, the sides are even worse than rattle can paint, fricken bed liner... :tear:
