Colorado B/S Thread

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Welcome back. I am stuck in Frozen Hell (Minneapolis) until at least April. It is -15 now with 25 mph wind. It's not that its that cold, but rather that it is constantly cold. We have had 39 days this winter below zero and had more days than I can count that had highs below zero.

I lived in Owatonna, MN for 2 years. I know your pain.

Right? Just to the east of you in the UP, they say it has not been this cold since '96. Not that I don't like the cold it's just I don't like it this cold. Last night it hit -20 and wh0o knows the wind chill. Hell, my brother in Alaska is warmer than me...

Re: The Colorado BS thread

You would never make it out here Troy. They don't have Dunkin Donuts.

I know that was a stab at cop humor......... but realistically....... does ANYONE like to eat frozen doughnuts? :twak:

Re: The Colorado BS thread

My mom did when she was working on a dairy farm, the farmer's wife froze the bulk donut stash to keep her from eating them so fast and she did anyways :laugh2:

This explains a lot about how I came out...

Re: The Colorado BS thread

My order from Iron Man Fab is in town so I should get it tonight...forecast for tomorrow is calling for a high of 2*. I guess the install of LCA's and the TB will be a cold one. Could y'all send some of that 50* weather to my place?

Re: The Colorado BS thread

I found out yesterday that I get very uncomfortable around short men with really deep voices.

It's like truth and politics....they don't go together.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Miserable day. Lost a friend today. Jefferson County Sergeant David Baldwin was killed late this morning in a motorcycle accident on Hwy 93 at 64th Ave. He was riding his Dept. Harley on duty and hit head on by the driver of an SUV passing illegally. I imagine neither even had the chance to say "Oh shit."

I've been friends with Dave for 23 years. Huge car and bike guy. He had a hard-on for turbo'd cars having owned an '87 Buick Grand National GNX and a late model Mustang GT pushing 700 hp from twin turbos. He was one of two Deputies that started the Jeffco Race-a-Cop program and built/raced a '68 GTO many years ago.

Be careful out there guys. Always respect the no passing zones and keep constant watch out for motorcycles.

Rest in peace brother.

:( Ugh...That's terrible, man. I'm so sorry.

And that's the main reason why I sold my bike....crazy/stupid-ass drivers.
