Colorado B/S Thread

Re: The Colorado BS thread

I'm in the NW corner of Tennessee. Right on the KY border. Ever hear of South Fulton? We're half of the twin cities of Fulton KY, and South Fulton, TN. Highest unemployment rate in the US. Folks move here because of how easy it is to get government money. Seriously.

Coming from someone that's formerly from the South, it's VERY different living here. You take the good with the bad.

However, I absolutely love TN. If we were to move back down there, TN would be one of my first choices. That, or one of the Carolinas.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

During my drive home on Friday, an 18-wheeler passed by me and I noticed this on his rear bumper.

Could it be?....Is this rust face Jesus?!?!? He looks angry. :eyes:

My apologies to YamahaRay and his friends. I had no idea a simple offer of help would turn into a 4 hour recovery mission.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

I gotta hear the story on this one...

When we were gathering up at the Stage Stop in Rollinsville a hunter asked if we could give him a hand recovering his truck that had slid off Mammoth Gulch trail the night before. He had hiked it back to Rollinsville and slept under a tree. It sounded like it was just off trail so we all headed there. He truck was probably 30-40 feet down a 60deg incline. The trail was completely snow packed and icy. After 4 hours we managed to get his truck back onto the trail. Unfortunately a strap broke that was connecting my winch to the rear of his truck and it flopped onto its side during the extraction process. We got it uprighted fairly quickly and then managed to get it back onto the trail. Shortly before it was back on the trail a big group of Jeeps was coming down the trail and we were obviously blocking them. They lent a hand (although a bit impatiently) getting the truck move farther up the trail were there was room to go around it. In the end we got the truck running, fixed the issue that had kept him from going into 4WD the night before, and nobody was hurt. Sucks his truck flopped but considering he didn't die when he slid off trail and he didn't freeze to death sleeping outside that night I don't think he can really complain too much. He didn't either, he was very grateful for the help.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Hey, guys. I got a membership request on the MWC facebook page from a Marcus Grinnan who has no method for immediate contact via FB.

I would like to ask him to PM me so I can accept or reject his request. Or if one of you can vouch for him that he is at the very least a forum user, please PM me his screen name.

Thanks, everyone.

And PM will be the best method. I'm likely to not check this thread much.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Good gawd why bother? That bumper even had provisions to mount a winch. You should a seen the front suspension squat.

What is with the sudden popularity of that video? It's popping up on a bunch of jeep forums. It's a cool video and all but of no real relevance to Jeeps. And that's not wheeling either, roads were just that crappy back then.

Hurricanes caught Varlamov sleeping and scored immediately after the start of the 2nd.

Hurricanes were showing some renewed vigor and really going after the AVS but now the AVS have recovered and started back up with their superior puck control. I think they got 5 or 6 shots on goal in the last 2 minutes if the game.

Yes, another point makes it 3-1 AVS at the end of the second
