Removing the head lights & head light buckets, then unbolting the hood latches worked pretty easily and a lot quicker than I had expected. :thumbup:

Back on the subject of hood latches.
Is there any way to eliminate the hood latch cable so the latch doesn't lock but the safety hook does?
I want to install hood pins on my chevy. But I don't want to remove the whole assembly because of the safety hook.
Any thoughts?

they are two separate systems
you can unbolt and remove the hood latch but still retain the safety latch

That's it? Well chit. I might have to go through with the idea.
Where the cable runs, the tires will hit it once its bagged.
Also have to relocate my battery to the bed.... I hate wires...
