Re: The Colorado BS thread

Bama v. LSU .......that was a game. Between that and my bros game last night my voice is gone. Lolz

Re: The Colorado BS thread

definitely was good football -- especially if you started the afternoon watching the train wreck of incompetance that was CSU v. Wyo... oof.

I'm a K-State fan from here to the finish - small conference, underdog, beastly QB who's a CO native -- go wildcats!

Re: The Colorado BS thread

I just love bama cuz i can't get enough of good defense. I mean ya watching Oregon throw td after td is fun. But when games are under 20pts cumulatively its awesome.
Plus saben makes his players earn.every new play. Never satisfied with ok, only great.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

I usually agree, unless there is some dude named Peyton at the helm... I've always been a D guy. When I played I played D, cause I liked the sound of forced exhale from a running back alot better than getting blindsided. Its so much better to hit than to get hit...

Re: The Colorado BS thread

So there is a kid at work. total charity case. always pity me poor me help me **** you.

All his.issues are self inflicted. totally has.no desire to help himself out or better himself. he owes some guys at work a couple hundo for misc stuff. well his jeep has been acting up. I look at it and determine it's cps. now I've already fixed a few leaks, the brakes, and steering issues for this kid. he wants me to replace the cps for him. obviously for free.
but its my time my tools. oh and i have to go to him. and his jeep is an oily mess.
is it fair of me to say pay up or pound sand?
or am i getting old and grumpy?

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Nope, I'd tell him he needs to provide me some food/beer for my trouble or to have fun with it.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Yup. Either time to pay up, or get greasy himself with your guidance so he actually learns a thing or two rather than whine about not being able to fix his junk.

I REALLY wish I could figure out where all this entitlement attitude comes from with kids today.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Well i tried the guide thing with fixing valve cover leak. after 3 hours and it still being attached to engine i gave up and started to do it myself. he gets pissy about having to do it himself.

i know it seems short and simple but knowing.the kid doesn't have any money makes me feel reaaaaaaaally bad. but the rest of me says tough luck.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

beer and pizza, or no wrenchy wrenchy. Free help is for friends who you actually like being around and who will return the favor someday. Not for whiny biatches.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

The kid needs to face reality..... if he truely wants a car and is on a tight budget, he needs to learn to get greasy and develop a D.Y.I. mentality. Otherwise, he needs to sell it and get a bus pass.

I'm gonna throw kudos to guys like Kiefer. Love that guy (in a totally straight way of course.... :D). Never asked for a handout, always willing to offer his help, looking to learn something. Because he was driven to learn and do things himself, I was certainly more than happy to hook him up with parts, welding, whatever because he really did earn it. Helped me out on so many occasions.

I know where you are coming from. I get people like this all the time. But you are not helping him by giving in. He wins. It has to stop sometime
