Colorado B/S Thread

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Huffys come with 18 speeds now?

Re: The Colorado BS thread

All three of the trucks we have at work are Eaton 13-spd units. Same shift pattern except on the 18-spd you split the low gears too. I'm getting pretty good at turning it into an 8-spd though. I just skip the split and shift straight up into the next slot. I like doing that a lot when slowing down and using the engine brakes, or when not pulling a big load and mergining onto the highway.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

most of ours are auto....then 13 speed..then 1 18 speed. It was quite the learning experience.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

There's a forum out there... Centered around Colorado and guns. They've had a lot of my attention for the past 6 months, but they have a problem.

The admins and mods just make up rules as they go and put people on time-outs for violating said rules.

It's ok though because if you try to point it out, they just threaten to ban you or ban you outright. Don't like it? GTFO!

LOL...... Why all the fear to name this unfriendly and apparently over-moderated site? :dunno:

Because I too like to visit the classifieds on that site, and I like to keep abreast of shooting events in the area. They'd probably make up a rule and ban me for stuff I say on other sites if I come right out and call them on it.:shiver:

Almost All websites are like this with the admins/mods ...If you have an issue with a mod or a friend of the mods they will elect to moderate you to the letter of the rules...lol...often making up the rules or distorting them to fit the needs of banning you ...For example I can get banned on Cherokee Forum just by leaving the Colorado forum and going into the off-topic chat area where 1 member feels they own the site , and has been chatting with mods/admin for months , And when this person gets uptight they get you banned ...lol...they made this person a MOD , which shows the credibilty of the site since the person has ZERO tech knowledge/skill...ZERO real wheeling experience...And rocks a YJ on an XJ forum...lol...So I think almost every site has the B.S. Admin/MOD thing ...

Re: The Colorado BS thread

True. There was another one in Louisiana. The owner made his wife a mod...THAT was a disaster. Her histrionic behavior (look at me, look at me!) was silly, and they just banned anyone who said anything. Eventually a group of "in" people established themselves and anyone else trying to say anything was just a fool, knew nothing, had no experience, etc.

Then one day there was a joke about a whale. The joke grew and grew. The powers in charge grew tired of the whale and began to banish those who spoke of the whale. The Whalers broke away and made their own forum. Soon after the histrionic wife of the owner announced that there had been an attempt on her life by the whalers. The drama was really entertaining, but it made it hard to participate in discussion without painting a target on your own head.

I'm a bit of a contrarian and I question authority. I will stand by authority when it is justified and will call it into question when it is not. I've run crossways with a mod or two here, but only been banned once, for a few minutes, when I was a mod and another mod thought it would be funny. I even stood up for stumpalump when there was a witch hunt out for his head and he couldn't make a post without being put on a time out, until he broke actual rules and was banished.

Naxja is a club better than most I've visited on the internet. A good club with solid rules backing a solid group of moderators for their forum who keep each other in check.

All i can say my boggers don't know the difference from driving on a CF mods hood or a 48 inch tall boulder on a trail run ...lol

Re: The Colorado BS thread

well since the xj decided it was time to retire on me while driving today this was the solution. Bought a new wrangler today for the wife. I get her wj and the xj is out. Traded my mustang in on it sad to say but we made out really well so it all works out. A big plus is the car payment is way cheaper on this vs the mustang.
