Colorado B/S Thread

Re: The Colorado BS thread

I dunno. Just not here. Ive realized there are normal people and not normal people.

Normal people take consistency, stability, reliability and comfort, and set it miles ahead of everything else. Mostly older, family type people.

Im not one of those. Ive been trying to be. But im just not. While I have tried to do the set a goal follow the path do whats recommended gig, it isnt for me. I used to always set happiness above all. A lot of people see me as very fickle and indecisive, but in all reality im just doing what makes me happy. I lose interest in some things and move on to others. Ive been gradually less happy with anything that I have been doing. I wake up at 5, to get home at 8, eat then sleep and repeat. I am not against what I do, but for the time I spend doing it, its just not for me. People should go to work cuz its what they love or it will let them do what they love. I have neither going for me. So I am gonna consider some more things and look at some options but need to piece together some big changes for myself.

As long as you don't tie the knot or knocck the girl up you still have that freedom. I'm much the same way and even after getting my girl pregnant I fought it but once he was born, well I manned up and did the right thing. Not saying its perfect and that I don't still get into moods where I long for the single and care free (or atleast where I didn;t have to worry about my problems hurting the wife and kid) days. If I hadn't of had my kid whose to say what would've happened.

And yeah, working all day and not getting to spend it on your hobby is very frustrating. I can't count how many dollars of side work or parts sold off that I had to spend on bills or groceries instead of my Jeep.

I say more power to you man, you ain't old yet and have plenty of time to find your groove.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

i say do what you gotta do!
i found my love in life. i cant say i "work" when i tattoo. i can but i cant.
i absolutely love my "career" and i wouldnt change it for anything.
im not rich. hell i barely get by sometimes, but i can say that i found what i was meant to do and one day i will make it big!

you just have to find what truly interests you.
tattooing is the only thing i have constantly stuck with.
many other opportunities have come and gone.
i have stuck with what i truly love.

you just have to keep searching for yours!

Re: The Colorado BS thread

ya i feel ya. prolly sell off my tools and such gradually with other non important stuff and figure things out

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Dayum Mike...quite the change!

You breaking it off with your lady or whats up?
Its been a lil rocky to say the least. different goals and things that make each other happy. so we have been more friends than anything else lately. its been a very tense and crappy few days. not my decision. :wow:

I know all to well the "we have been more friends than anything else lately" and "not my decision"...

My near 3 year relationship ended in May not long after graduation...still recovering from it (I REALLY REALLY REALLY wish I had the buggy done then, as all I wanted to do was to dissapear out to Moab or elsewhere for a week or twelve).

Sh*t sucks...life can really suck...but ya gotta just drudge through it and always think "There will be a tomorrow...just got to get through today"

This is why one always needs a hobby of sorts...a place to get away.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Re: The Colorado BS thread

I know the feeling, when that happened to me a couple years ago (now that I think about it... a month or two before I joined NAXJA) I hopped in the jeep and put the pedal on the floor. I didn't even really have a plan or any idea where I was going, it just needed to be somewhere far away. Made it from central mass to well past Albany in record time (I want to say about an hour and a half), then slowed down and ended up with a couple of my friends in Cooperstown NY at a hang gliding camp for a couple days.

That was the day I discovered a stock XJ will do 120mph if you want it to  it still had some go left in it, but I was afraid to go any faster.

She was nuts, it was a good thing that ended. She proceeded to date and emotionally destroy two of my friends after that... that I'm aware of. I try to avoid the crazy ones now.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Ahh yes, but the carzy ones sure did keep life interesting. I remember there was this one chick right before hurricane katrina. She lived in the same apt complex as a friend of mine and I. She lived across the courtyard from him. I hit it once at a party we had right before we got sent down for the relief effort.

Crazy bitch actually looked up his name in the phone book (neither of us had given her our numbers) until she found his dad. He gave her his cell and she started calling him non-stop leaving weird ass messages every time. LOL, eventually we had our SSG answer and pretend to be some guy on his roof who'd found the phone. Man did he make a show of it too, it was hilarious.

Long story short, when I got back I left her arse (of course I did stay the night once or twice, I had just spent a month in a devestated New Orleans with nothing more than a hanging camp shower to bathe with and no ability for any R&R) and she egged my friend's door and started stalking the both of us. She was absolutely nuts. Fun in bed though. :D

She was actually one of the less crazy ones though. I do still miss those days, no worries for anybody but myself. I lived in a ghetto ass 400$/mo apt (in Northglenn, so you can imagine how ghetto it was) and survived on a diet of Ramen, rice, and grilled cheese sandwiches so I could save my money for bar hopping and car parts. Can't do that now, the wife and kid would object to living minimalistic so that I can go out and have fun.

I can't complain too much, over all I'm happy with my life. I definitely wouldn't want to lose my son, he's by far the most important thing in my life. Totally my little buddy, but every now and then the :firedevil in me starts a whispering and I long for the old "care-free" days.

Then when leaving H.D. I see something REALLY out of place.....

A guy riding a new Harley Iron 883 fitted with tall ape-hangers....., all the street legal stuff like turn signals, fenders and what not, and a temp tag......

What was really weird was that he was wearing a full racing suit and full face helmet, gloves, boots..... the works...... and his arms WAY up in the air......

Re: The Colorado BS thread

No scoop on the stock SRT-8. Just checked. There are none available at any dealer in CO. Yes I want one.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Seems the sierra club held a meeting in wyoming , telling the ranchers that they proposed ,trapping coyotes and castrating them ,instead of shooting them. A old rancher stood up and said son you don't understand the situation at all the coyotes aren't f--king the sheep there eating them, the meeting never did get back in order
