Colorado B/S Thread

Re: The Colorado BS thread

I don't think you'd want one of those cheapy Snow Bear plows Chris. Manual EVERYTHING..... up, down, right, left angle..... They have no down-pressure, you can't back-drag.........

You want a hydro plow don't ya?

Those Snow Bear plows were sold at Sam's Clubs and intended for light duty paved plowing attached to a soccer-mom vehicle........ I think you'd be at risk of smashing/bending/folding that thing if attached to that beastly truck........

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Those Snow Bear blades are metal frame, plastic sheet. Uber light weight.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

the only internet info I'm finding is that they are full steel blades, interior controls for up and down, but manual for setting straight and side to side... :dunno: I thought it looked a little light, but then again WTF do I know?

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Full steel blades...... that's the bottom edge of the plow, not the entire plow being steel.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Dang, I saw a mount with hydraulics on a Ford at the U-Pull...a couple weeks ago. :(

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Seems like if Chris is patient enough, he should be able to find a similar year truck with a plow on it that quit running that he could buy..... and a certain friend with a truck/trailer could haul it to get the plow recovered..... then haul off what's left....... hmmmm.....

:D

Re: The Colorado BS thread

watch for 78-79 fords, and hook us both up! ;)

Re: The Colorado BS thread

damn!

And I thought I would never see a Ford I'd drive. I'd drive that one, masonesque or not!

You bought a fixer upper? Congrats on the only bigger money pit than a Jeep... that is... the only bigger money pit than a jeep without getting into traveling on something other than solid ground.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

its big -- air tanks in both sides too. We'll see if the plow will work with it, or if it has to come off...

Re: The Colorado BS thread

She will be when she can get up the driveway, or down it, after a snowstorm!

Re: The Colorado BS thread

naw, she has known Eric almost as long as me, and has watched this beast of a truck grow over the years (its nickname is "stomper"), she's almost psyched that we got a familiar truck that I have some affection for to take care of the new homestead. almost.
