Colorado B/S Thread

Re: The Colorado BS thread

if you pay 1500 for wheels and 33's, just punch yourself in the balls and stop while you are ahead.

what lift? short arms? adjustable? what winch? sure its not cheap xrc what gears? locker? etc?
what did he pay for the jeep?

Just a Guess for the Wheels and Tires. I mean, KM2's list at $192 each. thats over 800 when you include the mounting and recycle. He's Wheels looked quite nice, Don't know which ones.

I'm sure it can be done, just uuuhh I'd like to see the build sheet at the end. I know the locker is ARB.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

if he is using ARB's and paying retail on ANYTHING else, he is full of it. cant be done. ive used cheap and free parts all the way through, and i still am cuttin it close to his mark. he has to be getting things for free and saying he paid for it. i doubt he can show reciepts for everything and prove that price still

Re: The Colorado BS thread

I don't think that Cherokee has arb lockers. If I recall he welded the rear and used a lunchbox up front. He also built a jeep speed Cherokee that he spent a bunch of cash on, I think that one had the arb lockers.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Was surfing Total Resource's auction listings (formerly Klode's)....... Ya don't see a wreck like this at the insurance auctions very often...... Shame.... seems like there's plenty there for someone to build another one with.

And this guy's Challenger SRT8 with only 900 miles on it features it's own rear-ender crash video on Youtube:

Some of the stuff that comes into my work is just as crazy mini van that seemed like it was hit by a train. Another van that had almost nothing behind the seats...... but that rear end video takes the cake. No one can say they got rear ended on video... but man does that yard look empty compared to iaa. oh ya troy pm incoming.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Got back from South Dakota yesterday (was on a week long mission trip) and went to 4 Wheel Parts today and couldn't find any good parking spots, so I made one.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

so whats everyones opionions on welders? myself ive ran every brand out there. and miller is by far my favorite.. im tied with a miller xmt 304 or a miller trailblazer/gen that runs off propane that i use at work..

anyone run a brand that compares to miller? looking at buying another welder that can handle the "at home projects" along with on job sites.. so it needs to be something that dosnt have to run off of main power.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Finally got in some junkyardin' after being stuck with OT for a couple months. My Ranger didn't care much for the result. :)

Miller
Lincoln
Hobart
ESAB

Feature for feature they're all pretty comparable.

We run Miller and Lincoln at work, abuse the snot out of them. I think the survival depends on sizing more than brand. You might want to call the repair shops and ask what brands they see most.

I know I said their pizza was good and garlic knots were great.....

But Virgilios off Kipling has some AMAZING pasta and the garlic knots are better than I remembered......
