Colorado B/S Thread

Re: The Colorado BS thread

super rich, as in ridiculously rich. renix 4.0
Map sensor?
doesnt bog, runs amazing at high rpm(gets better mpg too) but CONSTANTLY dumping fuel......
Oxygen sensor.

If you download the RENIX manual, you can test MANY of the input sensors with a DVOM.

EDIT: While you are under the beast, check the exhaust manifold for cracks where the #s 5&6 primary tubes join the main tube. They way these are made, a crack lets the exhaust pull fresh air into the main pipe, directly above the Oxygen Sensor.

X2 on the plastic air soft bb's. Get two of the big jugs from WalMart and throw half a juck in each tire. You can't really have tooo much and that way you'll definately have enough of them. Instant self balancing tires for like 30$.

if i go to discount tire. they mount and balance my tires for free.
i think i will go with the bbs if they dont get balanced right....

Re: The Colorado BS thread

the bb's are nice too because they can't be knocked off the rim while your wheeling. Also, as soon as you chunk a tread out on the trail your traditionally balnced tires won't be balanced any more. With the BB's they'll stay balanced.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Check the fuel pressure regulator?

I think you can find a RENIX maual over at great lakes XJ.

If not, send me your email, I'll send a copy of mine.

O2 sensor or cts, or thermostat. What temp does the motor run at?

Re: The Colorado BS thread

CTS = coolant temp sensor, its on the side of the block under the exhaust header on a renix. If its acting up the ECU may think the motor hasn't warmed up yet and will continue to dump gas. Can be checked easily with a multimeter.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

for those of you that dont look. there are a few trip reports to some killer trails in the appropriate areas. time2getdirty rana killer trail with some great video!

GO LOOK!

GET MOTIVATED!

Re: The Colorado BS thread

I'm motivated!
Why do you think I'm getting 35"s TOMARROW? Haha
Oh ya. That's your fault!

I gotta figure out my axle shaft issue and I will be good to go!!!

Re: The Colorado BS thread

I put fresh gas in my driveway ornament, quick-charged the battery and fired it up. That makes me want to tear into my next engine...after the tiller and the mower. :farmer:

thought it was the plug/bolt at back under map on the block?
would it still be bad even if its reading temps +/-8* of actual?
