lol

Re: The Colorado BS thread

thanks on the compliments guys, well the plans are to paint it and use it for utility. I figure it runs solid(tip had it up to 80!) so Ima take care of it and use it to lug stuff around around/hot rod. I fell in love withe the truck as soon as I saw it, talked the guy down to 1200 from 1650.
The Volvo is pending sale, go fast parts are gone.just couldn't justify spending time working on something soo unattractive. Lol

Hopento have it painted by summer, add power brakes(no brake booster on drums is not even funny) and replace the power strering pump(death squirting) hopefully this summer I can redo the interior as well as go to Vegas in it with a group of friends. A Vegas road trip would eat us alive in gas but, what a story to have!

Re: The Colorado BS thread

woot!! got a new gig?
ya, kinda.
sadly i am going back to Big O (aww damn i know)
but the only reason i am even considering it is the following reasons:
1) my old boss is back, who i loved working for
2)its ultimately the lesser of the two evils
3)ill be doing some commission based work. Even just at the hourly rate ill make more per check than lakeside, plus any commissions i make as well.
4) i sat down and talked to the owners, explained where i was coming form and my goals for being there, they explained theirs and we felt that we could finally get along in that department.

now i have a few days off (start tuesday) and just need to get my tools/box down there.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

usually true, but since these were financed out of my handfull of cash that came with the WJ in exchange for the XJ, it almost feels like their free... almost :sunshine:

Re: The Colorado BS thread

ah you lucky bastig!
that must be nice!
luckily i have a while til its wheeling season again :D

Re: The Colorado BS thread

lucky, or just got a good deal? (so did he, my XJ is missed)...

Luckily I have a while too, cause the WJ has enough little glitches, and is getting enough suspension axle work, that I will be very lucky to have it rolling by groundhog day...

Re: The Colorado BS thread

ya i have to keep mine rollin as the winter goes, and most of the upgrades will come in steps.
the hardest alteration will be the suspension changes i think

Re: The Colorado BS thread

I'm buying a panel van tomorrow (CHEAP) so it can go under the knife and stay there till its "done"(we all know there is no "done", but done with Phase I... LOL.)
