Got a little more work done before heading to Greality for the weekend... Shaft/spindle burned onto the base:
Gusset/bracing fabbed and cooked underneath (mostly) - its not that blurry in person:
coming together pretty well...
finally got started on the tire carrier -- D44 hub/spindle/shaft for a hinge ala FrankZ and others unnamed....
cut a slot in the bumper for the base and cooked that 1/2" mother in there, once again testing the ability and duty cycle of my little welder - slow and hot...

Came out pretty well - it will get a gusset underneath tonight (I hope)

Shaft and spindle are now one, and with a little more grinding work will be ready to cook onto the base

maybe next week I can get it actually operational, although I'm also picking up the new trailer axle this weekend, tiling a couple of bathrooms, building a murphy bed... crap, too many friggin projects!eace::laugh2:
