Colorado B/S Thread

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Hey Jon, you want to do the factory recall on my Exploder. The damn thing is 13 years old and just got recalled for a bad cruise switch.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Sure Tom. Better yet just PM me the VIN and I'll bring the part to you at Hooters Friday. It's a 45 second install. Oh, I'm gonna need the notification letter too.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

You know the 2wd and 4wd exploders made the top ten list for most vehicles destroyed by cash for clunkers? So did the 2wd and 4wd F-150, 4wd XJ, and 4wd GrNd Cherokee

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Read the owner notification letter today on that recall. This is part of it, no joke:

"Until you have the recall service performed, park your vehicle away from
structures to prevent a potential underhood fire from spreading."

Doesn't that build Blue Oval confidence?

OMG I just looked out the window all my Fords just burst into flames...:flame: I better go get a Toyota. Is there a NATACOA forum?

Re: The Colorado BS thread

I have never seen one of those light up and we're now into the 14th iteration of the 05s28 recall. There's been a few leaking, a few less shorted, one even got hot enough to melt 2 wires. But that's it so far. The latest round is bringing some big time roaches into the shop so who knows. Had one today- our service writers turn on the hazards and pull them in the front of the shop if it's a waiter. It was an Explorer like Tom's but should have been clunked months back. I turned OFF the hazards.. and the multifunction switch started smoking. That was a first.

Naw, that's just easy- and saves Tom from having to hang out and look at new Fords. He might not mind, though, getting to be a lot of miles on that old Explorer.

Now what you're talking about, that's just wrong. :twak: Doesn't the tool b!tch get that duty? "Ohh Mason..."
